Happy Holidays

Today is the first sunny day since Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent nor’easter wreaked havoc along the East Coast over an area the size of Europe. Everyone in the office has a story to tell about friends and relatives who lost their homes and in some cases their entire towns! We were fortunate to have no catastrophic damage, and while there was a great deal of whining over having no power, all in all we were very lucky. The spring has started to come back into our steps. ■ CTC&G Designing Greenwich, our four-day art and design showcase, took place this past weekend. The Yankee pioneering spirit was alive and well among the companies who came from afar to showcase and sell their products, and among the design-industry celebrities, such as Tony Ingrao, Vicente Wolf, Carolyne Roehm, Clodagh, Amanda Nisbet, Alex Papachristidis, Annie Falk, Victoria Amory, Lulu Powers, Florence de Dampierre, Michael Storrings, Susanna Salk, Helen Klisser During and Janice Parker, who wowed the groups at the Time for Design Lecture series. Attendees from Connecticut and New York came to look, enjoy and buy the fabulous art, furniture, jewelry and accessories. ■ In lieu of cards and gifts
this holiday season, Cottages & Gardens Publications will make a donation to the Metro New York North Chapter of the American Red Cross to aid its ongoing efforts to help our neighbors in need. To all of our readers, contributors and partners, we wish you and yours a happy and healthy holiday season.
