For the past Five years, Cottages & Gardens publications has held it’s very own innovation in Design awards for our sister magazines in Connecticut and Westchester County. The annual competition attracts the crème de la crème of architects, designers and judges. ■ I am delighted to announce that as we celebrate our 10th season of publication, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens will present it’s first annual innovation in Design awards, recognizing the best architecture, interior design, landscape, kitchen and bath projects in the hamptons. The iras ceremony will take place on July 28 at Guild hall in east hampton. ■ This month a star panel of judges, including steven Gambrel, paul Goldberger, eric Groft, Celerie Kemble, Charlotte Moss and vicente Wolf, will sift through dozens of submissions to determine the winners. Additionally, we are thrilled to report that this year’s innovator award, honoring an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the world of design, will be given to the legendary Jack Lenor Larsen. The textile designer, author and collector is one of the world’s foremost advocates of traditional and contemporary crafts, and Longhouse reserve, his home and 16-acre garden in east hampton, is world- renowned as a bastion of creative thinking and a model for contemporary living. ■ For more information on the iDas, see page 119 or go to cottages-gardens/hamptonsidas.com.
