I look for color and fabric combinations, materials and surfaces, furniture arrangements, creative solutions to design problems.” This is verbatim from one of you, dear readers, in our latest survey about what you are thinking and planning these days. ■ The results from the December 2013 CTC&G Readership Survey show how much you continue to value our magazine and how it satisfies your passion for design. We have learned that you are very optimistic about design projects for the coming year, with three quarters of you planning at least one design project, and 54 percent planning projects in two or more areas of your homes. ■ You told us that CTC&G is a valued resource for your projects: “I refer to them all the time and have stacks of them.” A whopping 91 percent of you gained inspiration for living room, bathroom, kitchen, garden and bedroom projects, in that order. In the next 12 months, the top five projects you are planning include a master bedroom, a bathroom, garden design and outdoor spaces and pools, then living rooms and kitchens. ■ You continue to value and invest in the insight, access and expertise offered by design professionals: Nearly 60 percent plan to use the services of one or more design professionals in the coming year. Design professionals are a large and valued part of our readership many of them telling us that they read our magazine to keep up with you—their clients!
