This issue gets all of us thinking about how we can have the ultimate kitchen! Our intrepid Editorial Director D.J. Carey attends the annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) every January and comes back with the inside scoop. Then she shares her new-found knowledge at CTC&G’s annual Trends in Kitchen design event at NuKitchens in Norwalk, which has become the go-to, mid-winter, fun-and-learning event.

Earlier in the month, at the request of KBIS, D.J. led a group of 25 designers, mostly from Connecticut, on a VIP tour of of the show, where they had a first look at 17 handpicked company’s new products. Innovation in the industry is arriving at a fast rate, and we are grateful to the participating companies for sharing their new products and initiatives. The tour started before the show opened, and the attendees were treated to snacks, lunch and cocktails, special room rates and more.
