Summer Fun

Screen Shot 2015-06-23 at 3.00.16 PMOur summer season usually kicks off with Much Ado About Madoo, a garden fair and party at the Madoo Conservancy in the heart of Sagaponack, held this year on June 19 and 20. Madoo, a gorgeous garden masterminded by the late Robert Dash, positively hummed with the chatter of garden enthusiasts and the clink of champagne glasses at the Friday night opening gala, where the crowd shopped for plants, pots, home accessories, fragrances, and jewelry. On Saturday, Alejandro Saralegui, Madoo’s director and HC&G’s editor at large, hosted an exquisite lunch in honor of Charlotte Moss and Frances Schultz, who read from their most recent books and regaled guests with their hilarious repartee.

HC&G is deeply involved with our readers and important causes all summer long: house tours with the Southampton Historical Museum and the East Hampton Historical Society; garden tours with the Parrish Art Museum and Guild Hall; the Market Art + Design fair, benefiting the Peconic Land Trust; a book signing with Annie Falk, benefiting Peconic Baykeeper; a brunch with Aston Martin, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation; and the first annual Harmonia Garden Tour, benefiting LongHouse Reserve.

Check out our Agenda pages for further details and information about this summer’s events and more. I hope to see you along the way.
