Leaps and Bounds

“If you are going to San Francisco next spring, be sure to pick up a copy of SFC&G—San Francisco Cottages & Gardens.”

Marianne Howaston, CEO Letter SFCandG

I made this announcement at the sold-out NYC&G Innovation in Design Awards in New York City just a few weeks ago, to cheers and applause from the captains of the design industry who were in attendance that evening (see the winning projects on page 27). That NYC&G will soon have a West Coast sister publication reflecting the “sense of place” that is so unique to San Francisco and Northern California seems to be the most natural thing in the world. Our magazines are beloved for their intimate connection with the communities they serve and bring to life the essential character of the places they represent. What could be a more enticing territory to cover than the Bay Area, from Pacific Heights to Berkeley, Carmel to Sausalito, and beautiful Sonoma and Napa? Just thinking of the juxtaposition of storied San Francisco with the energy of new development and luxury high rises is intoxicating. So stay tuned for updates and feel free to contact us for more information.

Meanwhile, closer to home, we’ve got a lot going on this month, including the ninth annual Concours d’Elegance, one of the East Coast’s premier luxury car events, at the Americana Manhasset on Sunday, October 20, and the NYC&G-sponsored

New York Junior League House Tour on October 25 and 26. Among the highlights on the tour are the NYC&G penthouse by James Rixner and the Printing House apartment by Studio Tim Campbell, so be sure to join us! See our calendar on page 108 for more information.
