Design for Living

Last year's Bailey House benefit featured shoppable vignettes.

Marianne Howaston, CEO Letter SFCandGAt a gala benefit on March 10, more than 600 media moguls, celebrities, a who’s-who list of designers, and members of the fine-arts world will gather at Chelsea Piers to support Bailey House, an organization that helps transform the lives of people with or at risk of HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses by providing housing, health services, and community support. One day last year, designer Charles Pavarini called me to suggest that NYC&G become the event’s media sponsor, and we are looking forward to being part of such a worthy cause.

This special evening, now in its 28th year, includes a lovely dinner and awards presentation, an opportunity to shop directly from decorator vignettes, and an exclusive new Design for Living auction, during which guests can bid on consultations with one of 20 established and up-and-coming decorators. Winning bids will also come with an array of gift certificates from Farrow & Ball, Coco-Mat, and the Shade Store, among other home-furnishings companies.

So why not get in on all the fun? Go to cottagesgardens.com/baileyhouse for tickets and more information. And while you’re at it, be sure to join us as we celebrate the fifth anniversary of NYC&G and the 15th anniversary of our sister publication HC&G.
