It’s Party Time!
As we head into the 13th year of HC&G, we are busy preparing for our big decorator showhouse of the season—not to mention a staggering array of other design-related events throughout the summer. ■ For starters, HC&G is presenting the second annual Holiday House Hamptons—a showhouse that isn’t a true “house,” but rather several residences in the restored Watchcase factory in Sag Harbor, conceived as a “village within a village” by developers Cape Advisors and Beyer Blinder Belle Architects. Our roster of top designers will transform a townhouse, a bungalow, and a factory loft, with decorator Steven Gambrel serving as honorary design chair and decorators Thom Filicia, Mary McDonald, and Vicente Wolf as design chairs. Proceeds from the showhouse, which opens with a “White Gala” on Saturday, June 28, will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®; visitors are welcome to tour the spaces between June 29 and August 10 (go to holidayhousehamptons.com for tickets and more information). ■ Over the coming weeks, HC&G is also sponsoring the Animal Rescue Fund Thrift Shop Designer Showhouse and Sale (May 24–26), the Southampton Historical Museum Tour of Southampton Homes (May 31), the Parrish Art Museum’s Landscape Pleasures garden tour (June 8), and the Much Ado About Madoo garden fair and market (June 13–15). With Hamptons real estate riding high this spring and summer, why not get out and experience these fabulous showhouses, homes, and gardens while supporting terrific charitable organizations at the same time!
