I was brought up in Scotland, with the admonition that “self-praise is no honor,” but even so, I couldn’t help but be delighted when NYC&G’s 2016 “Global Style” issue won the magazine industry’s Folio: Eddie Award for best single-topic issue in the shelter/home/garden category. Praise, indeed! We hope you will agree that this year’s edition continues to live up to its reputation.
All of us at C&G Media Group were even more delighted when the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) selected our company to receive the Circle of Excellence Award for Outstanding Media in October. The award, which recognizes exemplary leadership, vision, and education, was presented to yours truly by superstar designer Jamie Drake, who applauded us for producing 31 issues of NYC&G, CTC&G, HC&G, and SFC&G annually; cottagesgardens.com; numerous editorial, social, and real estate newsletters; and C>V. As if that weren’t enough, we just won a 2016 Folio: award for an integrated marketing campaign that we created for Serena & Lily comprising print, digital, social media, events, and C>V.
If you turn to the two masthead pages in each issue of our magazines, you will see the names of the incredibly talented and passionate people who have made all of this possible. They have my admiration and deepest gratitude.
