Fall Events Fever

It’s hard to believe that this is only the third issue of NYC&G. Since our March launch, it seems we have fulfilled a year’s worth of events and community initiatives. The magazine debuted to an appreciative buzz, but also brought with it our signature Cottages & Gardens “sense of place,” so that the demand for our involvement with designers and readers has been overwhelming.

In New York, Long Island, and Westchester County, our community outreach has benefited the Lenox Hill Neighborhood Association, the New York Junior League, Old Westbury Gardens, St. Francis Hospital, and the North Shore–LIJ Health System. And in the design world, we’ve worked with vendors such as Robert Allen, Roche Bobois, and Ligne Roset to introduce new collections and furnish VIP lounges at our various events.

Look for Editor in Chief Kendell Cronstrom at a series of fall happenings, such as a book signing with decorator Katie Ridder at the Pennoyer Newman showroom

at the New York Design Center (NYDC), the launch of Celerie Kemble’s new collection for Schumacher, Maya Romanoff’s fall market kickoff at the D&D Building, and the C&G–hosted designer breakfast and lobby table displays at the fall Tabletop Market at 41 Madison. At NYDC’s annual “What’s New, What’s Next,” Kendell and C&G wine columnist Baroness Sheri de Borchgrave will host a wine tasting on the building’s fourth floor, where guests will enjoy specially chosen wines from Long Island, the Hudson Valley, Brooklyn, and more! (See our Calendar, page 119.) And Madeline Weinrib, the fabulous designer whose Bridgehampton home appeared in our sister magazine HC&G’s special “Artists & Collectors” issue this summer, will graciously toast Kendell and the fall season at her New York City atelier later this month.

In other C&G news, this November we are launching CTC&G Designing Greenwich—an art, interiors, and

style showcase at the Loading Dock in Stamford. Founded to introduce new designers and products to the Connecticut market, it features booths and pop-up shops from wonderful companies throughout New York (for more details, see page 49). See you this month and throughout the fall!
