On September 18, a kick-off gala will herald the opening of the CTC&G sponsored Showhouse on the Green in Fairfield to benefit St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Operation Hope.

The showhouse will be open for five weeks, from Saturday, September 19, through Sunday, October 25. Twenty top interior designers and decorative artists will showcase their skills at St. Paul’s rectory, an antique home rich in history dating back to 1834. The oldest parts of the building date to the 1800s, with major remodeling in 1860 and 1890. All are welcome to see the work of Connecticut’s best designers as the house is transformed with the best in furnishings, fabrics, fixtures, fittings and garden design—all done to enhance the provenance of the house.

Operation Hope was founded in 1986 when area residents became aware of individuals in the community who were unable to meet their own basic needs for food and shelter. Operation Hope’s food pantry provides more than 150,000 meals a year. Its supportive affordable housing provides permanent rental spaces for previously homeless families and individuals, and it provides shelter each evening for those without shelter.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the spring and summer, and contact us if you would like to be involved in the project.
