Thinking Big

Over the years, Corcoran has approached HC&G with innovative marketing ideas, special events, glossy catalogues and brochures using aspects of HC&G’s signature style to enhance the lifestyle component of their listings. ■ So when the company approached us with the audacious idea of purchasing every ad in an issue of HC&G this season, we were surprised but not surprised. These people think big! ■ Ironically, I was involved in a similar situation more than 20 years ago, when a european car company bought all of the advertising in a special 13th edition of the magazine I was publishing. everyone sat up and took notice, just as I am sure they will today. ■ So what you are reading is a special issue of HC&G. and while all the advertising belongs to Corcoran, all the editorial content is ours. ■ And I just saw the innovative new Corcoran iPhone app—it makes me wonder what they could possibly be thinking up for next year. stay tuned!
